Individual health providers must cover certain standard essential benefits in the health plans, including-

- Rehabilitative services and devices
- Emergency services
- Hospitalization
- Prescription drugs
- Maternity and newborn care
- Mental health and treatment of substance abuse disorders - behavioral health treatment
